This site provided the picture of the small "newsie" selling papers on the "Newsboys" page as well as the newsies posing at midnight on the Brooklyn Bridge used on the "Resolution and Effect" page. These pictures really show how newsies of all ages were affected by the decision the papers made to keep the price higher.

The photo found at this site, used in the "Resolution and Effect" page, shows newsies having fun while waiting for their papers. This shows how even though their work was hard, these youth didn't always focus on the bad.

The Lewis Hine photo on the "Newsies on Strike" page that shows little boys and a little girl waiting for afternoon papers is an example of how young the newsies were as well as there were newsies of both genders, trying to sell papers to make a living. This website provided a picture of the newsboys in a room full of beds used on the "Newsboys" page. This picture is used to show the living conditions of many of the newsboys. This is important because it helps viewers see a little more of how life was for the newsboys in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

This website provided many images (including the site header) and quotes, used throughout the site, as well as information about the newsies from the July 28, 1899 edition of the New York Journal. This article was really important to better understand the perspective the papers had while all these boys were saying they were in the wrong by keeping the prices as 60 cents per hundred instead of 50 cents per hundred.

This website had a copy of one of the news articles describing the meeting at Irving Hall. This meeting was very important because it shows how many newsboys were fighting for the same cause. Quotes and pictures of this article were used int the "Newsies on Strike" page.
